Joint Danube Survey 5 has just been launched

The Joint Danube Survey 5 (JDS5), the world’s most comprehensive surface water monitoring research project, was officially launched in Vienna on 1 July 2025. This large-scale scientific survey will bring together experts from 14 countries to assess the state of the Danube River and its main tributaries. The Water Research Institute is an integral part of this research team.
