HAMR and a long-term hydrological drought

In connection with climate change, the frequency of water shortages and droughts is increasing. Even in the Czech Republic, there are problems with the supply of drinking water to the population in municipalities with insufficiently reliable water sources. The effects of drought on agricultural production and forestry are growing significantly. In the future, it can be expected that existing water resources will not be sufficient, not only in terms of potentially declining water availability, but also in terms of unsatisfactory water quality.
