Radegast brewery has the lowest water consumption for beer production
At a press conference on April 29, the Radegast brewery presented the results of a unique study of its water footprint “from seed to glass”, prepared by the T. G. Masaryk Water Research Institute. The results were personally presented by Libor Ansorge, Deputy Director of the TGM Research Institute, who explained the methodology and the meaning of the blue water footprint. The study showed that 3.64 liters of water from water sources are needed for one liter of Radegast beer, which is, for example, 150 times less than for a kilogram of beef. Radegast thus confirmed its place among the European leaders in reducing water consumption in beer production. The conference also drew attention to the brewery’s broader activities in protecting water in the landscape and supporting sustainable agriculture.
