Minimization of waste of raw materials and maximum use of own resources by switching to efficient and environmentally safe procedures for plastic waste management, especially through recycling. An integral part of the activities will be raising awareness of the local population (from pre-school and school facilities to public and state institutions) about different approaches to waste management at different levels of cities, provinces, and sums.
The project aims to contribute to economic prosperity and poverty reduction and to support the development of a green economy and the transition to a low-carbon, resource-efficient circular economy in Mongolia.
The project is covered by Caritas Czech Republic. TGM WRI participates in the project with other Mongolian institutions. The project is focused on four main areas, on which all institutions participate. TGM WRI is responsible for professional guidance in assessing the current situation and implementing a more efficient system for collecting and managing plastic waste. More information is available on the project website.
