Hydrology, extreme events, climate change

We have been dealing with water management since our foundation in 1919. The issue of floods and water scarcity has been a central theme of many major projects, especially in the last twenty years in response to a series of major floods and drought years. Within research projects, we primarily deal with issues of prevention and possible mitigation of the negative impacts of both extreme phenomena on society and the environment. In the field of hydrology, we focus on issues of quantification and protection of water resources, the development and application of methods for measuring and monitoring the parameters of water movement in watercourses and reservoirs, as well as the issue of hydroecology. We provide expert opinion and participate in a number of national and international projects.
